A perfect balance of educational and excitement for me.
This is not an adventure book, this is a history book so it is a lot of facts but I like how it is organized to follow the lives of just a few key figures and takes you along their timelines.
It was easy for me to get invested in the life and drama of these people, so all in all, a good time

One of the few informative books on pirate history, there are some good tales in this one. Not quite narrative but at times you feel like you are in a pirate novel. This was a fun and informative read.

Too many names. It’s trying to be a story but also historical, in the end it’s just hard to follow and dry to listen to. Learned a few things but not that much.
