this wasn’t a bad book. it had quite a good story and i enjoyed reading about him falling in love both with her and her son.
however, and this i write with no hate towards the author, i think the writing style of this book wasn’t really my thing. i usually skimmed over parts of it if i could.
but i enjoyed the story.

This definitely set feminism back at least a decade.
I really disliked how aggressively and toxically protective Justin was. His relationship with Dylan was better developed than his relationship with Carolina. While I think the author accurately portrayed what living in poverty is like, I disliked how little of a personality she gave Caroline. I don’t think there was a single chapter in which Caroline wasn’t crying. While displaying emotion is totally fine, her excessive crying paired with his toxic (you need me to protect you at all times and i know whats best energy) made her seem helpess.

Honestly this could be a lot better if 70% of the book didn't take place in less than a month, it really felt rushed and at times Justin came a little too intense for the short time they knew eachother.
Another thing is that he went against her wishes a couple of times and that just doesn't sit right with me, like it's okay that he has more money that her , but he kinda was shoving it in her face and idk he never tried to put himself in her shoes and how she must feel with him paying for the expensive stuff she didn't even wanted

It was a cute but there are some stuff that wasn't for me...
- Overlapping chapters
- The time-line was so short. It would have made so more sens for the story to happen in months rather than a couple weeks
- The money factor and their lives we're too much in the sens that the MMC had too much money, too much things and the FMC had too little
- The FMC cried every chapter

So good. Like most of Ms. Madison’s books from the This Is series, you’re on a roller coaster of emotions. This is my favourite.
Moderate: Drug use
