let’s be real, i bawled my eyes out reading this in one sitting but that mf didn’t deserve shit. like there’s no way the author wrote this out to be a happy ending for both bc he didn’t deserve it. and it just felt like a pretty bad take on such an important topic.

More groveling was needed. There’s a time jump at the end, and I feel like readers were robbed (and the redemption wasn’t fully earned).

That being said, this duet was a fantastic guilty pleasure.

I've never had a book that destroyed me emotionally this much and physically ever. But this one did. I’m honestly scared to reread because I might not stop crying for the next weeks... but it was still one of the best books of all time 6 stars!!!!

Frick! WHY do I keep reading books that mess me up inside? Throughout the entire book, my heart was breaking for this girl and when her parents found out....I bawled like a baby. I understand Ryan thought she cheated but the things he did were unforgiveable. Maybe I would be more open to forgiving him if it didn't just skip over his whole grovel, Like I know he apologized, cried and begged for her to take him back BUT its hard for me to believe anything he says since he said those same things before yet STILL abandoned Becca when she needed him the most. I was actually so happy when she stood up for herself and said, no actually, if I was in your place I would not have done the same thing. Honestly, I think she forgives too easily and I wanted more grovel. Real though, Sam is my absolute favorite. Still, I need therapy to sort through the everything in my brain

it was okay but it frustrated me soooo much and i felt like the ending was so rushed and there were so many characters with no follow ups on them, they were just mentioned and never seen again. i kinda ryan tbh, he didn’t know ab the sa and i feel like his reaction was expected considering how much he loved her and his belief that she cheated on him w his enemy but at the same time, he claimed he loved her sm and he treated her like crap so i think they should’ve stayed friends and not gotten together because i believe she deserved better (like mike or bernie cuz i liked them, they seemed so sweet and were amazing). also i feel like this book mostly focused on how ryan was upset and how to help him and stuff instead of on becca, who was literally sa’ed. there were alot of loose ends and characters that were just random and not explained well like jay, beccas cousin and how ryan has a sister but we only find out in the last few chapters. overall i enjoyed the book and it was heartbreaking fr. also robbie deserved death and i wanted some info about grace, the other girl involved.
