Brilliant book and a fantastic read! Got a little confusing at the beginning with a lot of different characters being introduced and the timeline jumping around, but wow what a ride! Stick with it you won't be disappointed!

This is a really good book, and I'm happy that I finally got along to reading it. Unfortunately, I feel like it could very well have been significantly shorter, without loosing any meaning or impact.
Unless the goal is to make the reader as fed up with everything as the characters are — in that case, 5*. This needs further pondering.

I feel like this is one of this books that either you love or you hate.
The writing style is witty and humorous, the narrative a bit difficult to follow at times because it isn’t told chronologically and occasionally digresses, but it’s absolutely worth it.
And not to drag on Richard Hooker again, but he wishes he could write like Joseph Heller.

This book could have been a short story, and I probably would have appreciated it more as a short story. There is really only one solid chapter with any meaning; the rest is nonsense.
