This was a heartbreaking 5-star read for me. Tille Cole managed to break my heart into tiny little pieces with Rune and Poppy's story. Just when I thought I couldn't shed any more tears, I reached the end of the book and managed to shed a few more

If im like, 100% honest, i wouldve rated this a 2-3 stars if i rated based off of the writing. But, i rate based off of personal enjoyment and this book would’ve gotten six stars if that was possible. I have never, i mean NEVER started crying this early on in a book. Like what do you mean im already crying at the 30th page? It broke me apart, broke me apart even further, and just pieced 2/100,000 pieces together. Idk if that makes sense but that’s how it made me feel. I absolutely adore this book.

Everyone who’s recommended this book has talked about how heartbreaking it is, but gah damn I was not prepared to have my heart so thoroughly shredded.

This is only the second book I’ve ever read that has made me actually sob. Other books have made me cry, sure. Silent tears that leak down my face. But that’s nothing compared to the full on sobbing while reading this book. I feel as if I’ve experienced a real loss.

I’m sure some people would think this book is cheesy. The people who don’t believe in soulmates probably wouldn’t enjoy this book. But I live for that shit so I was hooked immediately.

There’s tons of foreshadowing that hints what will happen and I saw it from like chapter 2 or 3, but was still somehow gutted when we find out.

This’ll sound cheesy, but to experience a love like that, even just through reading it in a book, feels like a gift. To feel souls connect like that.

The writing was so powerful. The fact that I’m sitting here feeling so many things from just reading this book…just phenomenal. I felt every single feeling the author intended. There were points where it was hard to breathe through the weight on my chest, or points where my heart almost burst too. This book just really drives home how much I fucking love reading.

Alert! You will cry a bucket load of tears! No doubt in my mind that you will need a large box of kleenex!

A breathtakingly beautiful story about love that lasts a lifetime - no matter how long or short that life may be. About a love that grows so strong at the blossom grove. The powerful connection between Rune and Poppymin shows us that soulmates do exist. The story was truly powerful and had me in tears on more than one occasion. When the tears weren't flowing I had that lump lodged in my throat, the one that sits there reminding you that you are so full of emotion that you could burst at any second.

The ending was a perfect closure on their story, but left me with a question I'm sure many of you will ask. A Thousand Boy Kisses is a story that will stay with me forever. I URGE you to add this to your pile of books to devour in 2022!
