Two stars for Sagan and Sagan only because Sagan is hot and i love him. (Yes me and Merit have that in common). This book is further proof of Colleen Hoover’s unhinged mental state.

First of all WHY IS SHE WRITING A SIDE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN AN 18 YEAR OLD GUY WITH HIS (STEP) UNCLE ????

idk what kind of drug Coho put in this trash that made me actually consider this a good book for a second (hence why this took me 6 months to read). That was until i critically analysed the book for 1 second.

This book is absolutely unrealistic, dyfunctional families do not resolve just bc of one family meeting and a letter lmfao. Yes the book, and ending especially, was emotional i’ll give it that but it’s clear Colleen Hoover was in a rush to wrap the book up and to write in a happy-go-lucky sickly sweet ending which could’ve worked but was so poorly executed it’s untrue.

This book is so raw and real!

I feel like this is the first of her books that aren't completely romance and twisted relationships - it focuses on family and real issues.

I felt like I really connected with Merit; the character was written with so much depth! I want rooting for her the entire way through and really felt the emotions she was feeling!

Didn’t love the ending but the book had me crying at times and laughing at others. Such an amazing read.
