Covers Chapters 8-16

This is Allen’s first mission after joining the Black Order, along with him is Kanda. They travel to a deserted area of Italy to find an innocence. Kanda is the broody, pessimistic pretty boy that opposes everything that Allen does lol I’m actually really enjoying this series, I love the art style and atmosphere of this gothic/supernatural manga. It can get super dark for a shonen and I like that about it too!

Another great addition to the series, in which we get to see our protagonist, Allen Walker, experience his first mission as an exorcist. With great story telling, artwork, and action I am eager to continue.

Allen Walker is sent out on his first mission for the Dark Order. Along with Yu Kanda, Allen is sent out to find an innocence that has emerged in the world. A source of mystical power, the innocence is used by the Dark Order to create weapons. In the hands of an Akuma, it would give the ghoul unlimited power.

Allen and Yu race to reclaim the Innoncence, but things become more complicated when a living doll and the ugly child who built her come into play. Allen has to make choices between saving one of them and doing the Dark Order's bidding.

A solid second volume, even if the art is a bit reminiscent of Bleech. Worth picking up.

  4 stars.

I was originally going to give this like a 3-3.5 stars, but I absolutely adored the storyline with Lala and Guzol. They really broke my heart.

Despite there being moments where I have a hard time following the plot or the world building, I really like this series. I'm really tempted to watch the anime, so that I could have an easier time understanding the world. Nonetheless, I'm excited to continue with this series.
