Absolutely amazing, truly compelling, took up every spare moment I had until I finished it

I liked Mary as our story teller. I do, however, feel a bit cheated at the end, I want to know what happened to Mary and Martha and everyone after they all fled. That’s when goodreads showed me that there is a sequel! I’ll be on the look out for it!

An old favourite, really happy that I found this and the sequel in a thrift store. Reading that one after this!

A very interesting concept of for a book, combining the popular and effective diary style of fiction with historical elements. This also obviously has similar themes to The Crucible, hence why I was drawn to read it for my PGCE. However, I felt as though the action and excitement only really picked up towards the end, hence my slightly lower rating.

'In città vivono nove streghe,
