Great read with a slow build romance. The big conflict comes during the last two chapters and made the book feel rushed.

This was my first Falon Ballard book, and I didn't realize until after reading it that it's also her debut. I absolutely flew through this and I thought it was such a sweet romance. Both characters have a heavier backstory, and I loved seeing them find comfort in each other. Plus I always love a found family element! I have Falon's other books on my Kindle, so I'm excited to read those soon as well!

I loved this so much. I love friends to lovers and found family stories. I want more of this. I can't wait for more of her books.

3.75 stars - if this were real life i’d go on and on about what a red flag this woman is, but alas this is fiction so all i will say is: it was kinda fun!!

spoiler: maybe im poor but i really don’t understand why we were mad when we found out the boyfriend was an artist that sold pieces for millions of dollars seven years before he met you…like what’s the prob?

Lots of readers have enjoyed this so I suspect it's just me. But I got about an hour and a half into it and realized that I disliked the heroine. As time went along I liked her a bit better, but never really felt like either MCs were well developed. As was the same with their attraction. And honestly, I was bored by it.
