For some reason, I thought this was going to be the last book in this series. I guess I was wrong.

Abbi is back home to look after the family farm after her father's near fatal accident. While she's there, her mother decides to try and steer her back onto the "right" path by putting her ex in her way every chance she can get. Meanwhile, Abbi questions her ability to maintain Henry's interest when she's not with him.

Abbi has some more growing up to do in this installment. The age difference between her and Henry become evident when her self-doubt creeps in. She questions whether she's enough (not because Henry gives her any reason to doubt that, but her mother does), if Henry's with other women (again, because he mother has her doubting) and what she wants out of her life. This is when her age showed. Instead of having faith in herself and Henry, she allowed other's attempts at pushing him out of her life cloud her judgement. And when that happens, Abbi tends to go off and do something dumb. Let's just say it's a good thing Henry is able to swoop in when he does.

I loved Henry in the book. He's not so much of a hard-ass. He showers Abbi with "things" because it's the only way he knows how to express how he feels for her. Even though I know Abbi is dying to hear the words, you could tell just how big of a step all of this was for Henry.

The book ends with another situation that's going to put Henry and Abbi in close proximity of those that will try to tear them apart. I'll be waiting to see what happens next.

3.75⭐️ Abbi and Henry are finally reunited and ready to move forward with their “relationship”. The status of their relationship, after two whole books, is “seeing where things go” (Henry’s words). “Seeing where things go?”? SEEING WHERE THINGS GO??!!!! After 2 books?! Omg. We are then dropped with a major bombshell that Abbi’s dad has suffered a serious injury, so Abbi needs to go home asap, thus seperating from Henry.

The first half of the book took place at Abbi’s family farm and it was a little boring. It was mostly Abbi’s mom yelling at her, Jed being annoying and not taking a damn hint, and Abbi being sad over missing Henry while they try to do a long-distance “seeing where things go”ship.

We finally see a sweeter side to Henry in this book (well it seems sweeter after two whole books of barely any affection). Henry shows his feelings for Abbi by being very generous with his money and always taking care of her needs throughout the book. I won’t lie, I did swoon a little when he flew her out to see her dad and hired the best surgeon in the country to save his life.

Halfway through the book, things went from 0-100 (the biker bar scene

I so wanted to love this series. So much so I binged the first 3 books in a day. But here I am at the end of book 3 still loathing Abbi and only half loving Henry.

Henry was perfect at the beginning of this book, the story was great, he and Abbi trying to overcome her mom’s adverse reaction to their relationship was fun to read. I love how her dad supported her wholeheartedly and how Jed was seething throughout.

What I hated though was the introduction to Margot, and her harem. If I’d known that was where the books were going I would have bowed out earlier. But I didn’t so here I am.

I’m leaving this series here as the reviews for the last book have put me off even more so. I loved the first book and am so disappointed it wasn’t what I was expecting. Henry Wolf had such potential to be a high ranking book billionaire boyfriend!!

Note to self, read the reviews next time.
