The first 150 pages were great. The way Dick was portrayed as the new Batman was good, but I didn't like it as much as his appearance in Snyder's "The Black Mirror". His relationship with Damian as the new Batman and Robin was interesting and enjoyable.
It all went downhill when Damian gave Dick the genius idea to
Spoilerrevive Bruce who was basically still the Batman of Zur-En-Arrh, which was a total shitshow.
The book features a few Bat family cameos, which were either way out of character or the characters that appeared died a few pages after they showed up. Also the British Batman shows up again for some reason.
Grant Morrison has some good Batman books, but most of them aren't for me.

The best possible format for an amazing run, don't pass this up.

Morrison's run on Batman was close to perfection. A new Robin who was Batman's biological son seemed like a terrible idea until Morrison "killed off" Batman (actually he got sent back in time and became Caveman Batman and Pirate Batman and Cowboy Batman, which was fun in itself) and had former Robin Dick Grayson take his place.

The new Dynamic Duo is the freshest breath of air DC has had since Miller finished Year One. It replaces the old status quo by having Batman being the light hearted one and Robin being the grim avenger, which works great as comedy. Of course any new status quo can't last forever and DC had to fuck it up with the New 52 and bringing Bruce Wayne back. The follow up, Batman Inc is Morrison's only major misstep, because he can't find an interesting way to reconcile Wayne's problematic billionaire status with his own left-leaning politics.

Hmmm, that one was a bit confusing.

Especially - how did Bruce come back? o.O He just suddenly showed up?

I love the idea of Dick and Damian being still Batman and Robin even though Dick would rather be Nightwing again. But, I just love their dynamic.

The art? Was not my thing.

I only read this for the Damian Wayne content. He is my favourite Robin and I really like him. And it was pretty good. But everything else was a mess. The villians, the plot, characters. This is my second Grant Morrison book, and might be my last. His writing is so confusing.
