Another wonderful story by Ruth Hogan filled with characters searching for love and acceptance. This is another story where the characters carried the story even with all of their flaws, insecurities and quirkiness.

Just not my cup of tea. The paragraphs were all far too long, too much description and internal thought, not enough actually moving the story along.

There's much to love about this story, which is both laugh-out-loud funny by moments and deeply sad, but I was also disappointed in the adult part of the story. Child Tilly (and her world) enchanted me, but much of the adult Tilda parts of the book seemed more forced -- I couldn't quite suspend my disbelief enough to really enjoy them.
And the ending was terribly anticlimactic.

Ruth Hogan is my new favorite author! This lovely book is the right balance of funny, sad, and whimsical. Can't wait to read her next book.

Not nearly as good as other books by the author. I found elements of the plot to be really weird and never fully addressed (AKA the fact that the main character can see ghosts). Also the main character seemed emotionally immature for being ~30 years old which just made me annoyed with her.

Very slow at the start and was a bit confusing with the ghosts. Had to keep referring to the blurb to use the info I already had to work out what was going on.
