This book was like a more appealing, exciting, and rated-R version of Twilight. Despite the fact that I was envisioning Twilight with everything revolving around these Vamps, they DID NOT SPARKLE!! I cannot even begin to tell you just how much that fact pleased me.
The first half of the book was pretty dull, only in that there was not much in the way of action (and I'm not talking about sexually; there was PLENTY of that). Nothing very eventful happened beyond the brief encounter with Jacob, which was actually a lot less exciting than I had anticipated. It was over and done with before we had even gotten to experience it. Kind of a bummer. Oh well.
The attraction between Sera and Liam was instantaneous and totally combustible. Before it could be truly complete, however, Liam had to first win over Sera's trust, as she has a past with harmful men. But boy, does Liam bring out the good in Sera. He has all the devotion and heart to bring out Sera's confidence and wholehearted trust in him, and then things get truly flammable. *squealing
Until the encounter with Jacob, though, the first half of the book is pretty my like any normal college relationship (at least I assume so, as I am only in High School I suppose I can't quite make that assurance. Making it anyway.) Sera and Liam seem to be your typical couple. The Vampire within Liam doesn't even seem to be present and we don't get to see much of this side of him. That is, until he kills Jacob in a fit of beastly rage. Then all goes to hell as he has no choice but to reveal his true self to Sera. This is where we see the crux of their feelings for each other, as they must both make sacrifices for the one they have come to love.
And thus, we dive into the second part of the book and the culmination of action provoked by outside forces. Sera's best friend has the brilliant idea to take the group away for some fun in the mountains. However, their plans are shot to hell when a blizzard leaves them stuck in the cabin with four hungry vampires and one crazy trampire (tramp-vampire for those of you who were curious) who is dead-set on taking Sera's life. It is pure chaos of our little group as they attempt to protect those unaware of the dangers they face. And it is going to get a lot worse before it gets better.
Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed each and every one of these amazing characters (the main group anyway). They were so well-rounded and dynamic, interesting and captivating. I fell totally in love and I am delighted at the time and effort that this author obviously put into this book. It was truly spectacular.

Shallow characters, weak plot, bad writing sort of sums up this book. A disappointment of the genre.

Awesome. No other words. Except.....
The story was way too short and ended too soon.

I can't understand how this book has almost 4 stars with 17K votes. I don't give books 1 star ratings so 2 is my lowest and that's what I've given here. My friend gave me the first four books in this series and I don't think I'll be continuing, for a few reasons:
1 - the FMC is brutally weak - like she's constantly sobbing and crying and constantly has tears. Don't get me wrong some parts of this book warrant some tears but most of her sobbing and crying is just because she's a weakling.
2 - this book has the worst case of instalove that I think I have read in the last two years. Like she told her super secretive secret to this man the second day knowing him even though some of her closest friends didn't know, and they were professing their love two weeks later:
'I think I've loved you since that first night. No matter what happens, from here on out, I will always love you,'
Ugh haha okay bruh whatever you say....
3 - Sera is so upset over Liam's utter dishonesty and betrayal when she learns he banged her bestie and has it thrown in her face by said bestie and then THIS is when she decides to lose her virginity to him... This night... Immediately following this huge betrayal/fight. Um yeah sure... Okay.
4 - I didn't like a single character in this book, like that's hard to do as an author write multiple characters with wo many flaws that they are hard to like.
Overall if you are an avid reader of romance you need to skip this series, no experienced reader can stomach these things in my opinion. I am shocked I didn't dnf to be honest.

This really wasn't for me, i think it will appeal to the younger reader more.
Although i do enjoy the YA romance this had some raunch a bit to much for young readers, but not adult enough a story for the older reader.
The heroine Sera was constantly crying
"She fought back the tears threatening to fall."
"Tears shimmered in her eyes"
"tears touched something inside him"
"She closed her eyes as she tried desperately not to shed the tears pooling in them."
"She blinked rapidly against the flood of tears filing her eyes."
The list goes on, but suffice to say she cry's a lot, i prefer a heroine with a bit more backbone.
The descriptive writing was nice, but unfortunately it wasn't in the world building of the story i just felt i was reading about a college guy and girl most the time, even after he revealed he was a vampire.
It contradicted itself in places
"She couldn't drink blood, and she couldn't be a monster. She didn't even eat meat."
By this point she had already sucked blood from Liam so.....
I didn't hate it so 2 stars from me but i probably wont read from this author again, just not for me.

Thought it was a good story. My only complaint is the fight scene. It felt a little rushed and convoluted too many things going on. And it’s like it just ended. I think she could’ve written a little bit more or added more details to the fight scene even if it would’ve made it a little longer, but I felt it was rushed and too many things were going on. I didn’t know who was hitting who, who was scratching who it was just a lot of “ this man that man another man”.

Meh. It was entertaining, if overly reminiscent of The Vampire Diaries (tv show, not novels). I find it hard to complain about a free ebook that kept me reading. I'll admit to grinning at parts and rolling my eyes at others. Not a bad diversion if that's what you're looking for.
Unsure if I'll bother to read more in the series. Without having looked at any of them, I can guess that the reverse harem (of sorts) will all find true love individually in each subsequent book (as is the forumla for this sort of book, it seems).
