Er worden behoorlijk wat grote problemen, neergezet die “makkelijk” op te lossen zouden moeten zijn met het veranderen van je gewoontes zonder in te gaan op leefomstandigheden en leefomgevingen.

Ook wordt er gerefereerd naar meerdere kortzichtige, en daardoor problematische, opmerkingen. Een daarvan: “Being poor is not having too little, it is wanting more’”
In mijn ogen is dat veel te kort door de bocht en worden er belangrijke factoren weggelaten.

Daarnaast kan ik me wel vinden in de simpele veranderingen die tot stand komen door het aanpassen van gewoontes en de consistentie hiervan.

Al met al, geen boek dat levens veranderend is, wel een boek dat me weer even op scherp zet voor de kleine handelingen in het leven.

Books about habit building and productivity is not my usual read, however, this is not the first book I have read on the subject. Therefore, some advices and techniques were not new to me and in general could feel repetitive and insignificant at places.
However, I do feel that this can be a powerful tool for shaping a new routine as well as new identity for yourself - worth reading. If not for learning new tricks to fully commit to your New Year's resolution then for a motivation boost for sure.

first book i’ve listened to on audiobook. i’m sure that this would be of massive use to someone whom these ideas are new to, however for me the majority of this seemed like common sense. probably because i’ve had a lot of therapy and cbt in my life, so i didn’t get much out of this unfortunately!
