Okay, I admit, I was ready to think this was a dumb book. I wanted to read something in the 'paranormal romance' genre simply to find out just how dumb it is. Well, I definitely enjoyed this book. It had a nice mystery running through it, the paranormal stuff was a lot of fun, the fight scenes were nice and bloody and the sex scenes were pretty darned hot. I'm not sure I needed the two main characters to 'marry' in the end, but that seems to be an important element of the romance genre generally. The only thing that bugged me was the fact that vaginas were never referred to as pussy, c**t, or even vagina they were most often referred to as 'sex'. That seemed odd to me. In all, this was a fun read and I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a fun, sexy, demonic romp.

The concept of this series is genius. Who would have thought that a paranormal version of ER would be just the thing I needed in my life?? Dr. Eidolon and his two younger brothers are Seminus demons who have opened a hospital to treat demons: Underworld General Hospital. Eidolon and his brothers are sex demons, but they also have healing powers that they use to help others. Their hospital is underground and it is protected by a spell that makes it invisible to humans. I love this world of demons, vampires, werewolves, and other shifters. And I love that it's mostly set in an underworld hospital!
Demons and other supernatural beings are at war with The Aegis, an organization that considers supernaturals to be evil and trains humans to slay them all. When an Ageis warrior—or as the demons like to call her, a Buffy—is brought into the hospital, Eidolon is forced to treat her wounds. And as a Seminus demon, Eidolon is also going through the final maturation cycle, which requires him to take a mate for reproduction purposes. To his surprise, he finds himself drawn to Tayla, the Aegis warrior whose life he saved. At the same time, there is a mystery surrounding the kidnapping of supernatural beings, whose organs are being harvested and sold in the underworld black market.
Look, I'm gonna be honest: this book is PROBLEMATIC. If you read some of the negative reviews on here, you'll know exactly what I mean. There are many weird things in this book that are not only problematic, but also kind of disgusting. I think it comes with the territory, given the demonic world that the author has built. Both the love scenes and the violent scenes are incredibly graphic. And there is a lot of death; side characters get killed left and right, which surprised the heck out of me. I think this may be the most graphically violent paranormal romance I've read so far.
Anyway, this book/series may be problematic, but it is also A D D I C T I N G. I couldn't stop reading! I read this book in one day! The characters are also very annoying, especially Wraith and Tayla, but they grew on me. Kind of. Sort of. Lol. Just keep in mind that it takes a long time for Tayla to get used to the idea that not all demons are evil. And Wraith...well...he's something else. But yea, I'm addicted and I definitely see myself binge reading at least the first three books.
CW: dubious consent, graphic and gory violence, violence against women, rape (off page, but briefly described)

Great hot steamy paranormal romance! Great alpha male characters. The story was captivating and I could not put it down.
She is very similar to JR Ward. What I like about "Pleasure Unbound" is that it wasn't your typical predictable 2-dimensional story. She threw a few curve balls into the mix and made you want to continue the series as soon as possible. It really reminds me of Ward's earlier work.
*****Minor Spoiler*****
I've only got one question? Where can I get that potent demon sperm? If only regular jizz could feel that good.

I wanted to hate this book.
Seriously. It's called "Pleasure Unbound" for goodness' sake, and it sounds like Romeo and Juliet starring a sex-starved Incubus and a sex-deprived demon-slayer. And, it starts with a Glossary. You know you're in trouble when an author provides you with a list of terms to know before you start reading.
I was probably about a quarter of the way in when I was so enthralled with the book that I was forgetting to roll my eyes and highlight ridiculous passages.
There is a lot of cheese in this book, but there's also some really interesting world building. Most demons just want to peacefully coexist with humans, but the humans see them as... well, demons. I love the idea of the bad guys being misunderstood and what that means for a world when they start to accept that, so I'm definitely interested to see how this series progresses.

Your run of the mill paranormal romance. Hot demon and hot demon Hunter hate each other and end up having steamy sex. It was a nice palate cleanser after some heavier reads.

Intended for Mature Readers only...I think I should start putting that on some reviews. Anyway I instantly became hitched with these book once I started this one. There is plenty of humor, twists, turns and romance. Tay works for Aegis which is like a company that employ Guardians(slayers), these people hunt down anything that comes in an order. Demons, Vampires, Werewolves, they don't care. They never stopped to think about some of the creatures they kill could be innocent. There are actually innocent Supernaturals that don't harm the humans, other than to feed or something but they don't kill them in large quantities. One maybe two 'bad' people and that is it. E(he has a long name) is such being as describe above, he is a Doctor in a Underworld hospital along with his 2 brothers. They all have different abilities but they share the same Father. Thus making them half-brothers, but they are full in their minds. E is the level-headed one of the 3, walking on the straight and narrow until his S'genesis. Which is a 2nd mature level for his demon species. First one occurs at age 20. The closer he gets to the transformation the less unstable he gets. Tay is the only one that can help him.

There's only one thing that bothers me with this book, are pasta and oranges the only foods that exist in this world?
