In stories involving trials, the combat scenes often bore me, but with Oraya as the narrator I was hooked on every word. The slow burn was chefs kiss. The betrayal was painful (I cried). I’m a little scared for what comes next, but I know it will be thrilling!

I loved this.
Absolutely devoured it.
Loved the characters.
Loved the plot twists.

Such a good read, especially for a fantasy romance. It definitely hit the mark.

This was a solid 4 stars for me. While I definitely got into it about the 25% mark, and I loved both Oraya and Raihn, I wasn’t as obsessed with the book as I expected to be since it’s been so highly recommended. The ending had me feeling all the feels for sure and I didn’t expect all the twists which made it even better.
