This horror is so effective because no matter what scares you, you'll find it in this book. Government surveillance, black ops, sensory deprivation, false memories, ghosts, gore, or even bugs - it's all there! But not aliens. The cover makes me think aliens, but this is 100% alien-free. The kindle edition could have used another pass by an editor and there are some parts that just don't work for me, but overall this was a highly enjoyable and scary book!

Incredible
This book blew me away. If you liked The Institute by Stephen King, you will absolutely love this book.
It follows a similar similar premise, but it's contains a lot more gore. And I mean a lot! Not to mention, I was completely satisfied by the ending and was prepared to give four stars to this rating, but that epilogue changes to a five star. I don't hand out five stars very often, but this blew me away!!
A little bit about the book...It follows the premise of a secret company that uses human subjects for torture in order to prevent horrific events from happening in the world. Stephen King has done it, Clive Barker has done it, and this guy has done it and deserves the same respect you would give Barker and King in the horror world.

This was a slow burn. A great creepy story… and that ending… WOW! So good! Loved it.

In this book, humans are desensitized by the government enough that their mind travels to other places to spy for the military. Buuuut, the human “antenna” figure out how to travel into minds of their choosing and lots and lots of skin gets peeled off in gory detail. Not a great book, but I guess one step worse than watching election results compulsively?

I wanted so badly to love this book but there was always something off. The pace is great, but the dialogue and plot were hard to buy. I anticipated every twist and felt like I was already familiar with this story.
