I really enjoyed the first book in this series and was pleasantly surprised when it was different from the movie, I was again happy to find that this installment is a continuation of the last diary and I really got into it. I sat down with this book to take a break from another one and ended up reading through it in one sitting.

Mia is still getting used to the princess thing and now she has so many other things to deal with. Slowly her life seems to be unraveling more that she thought it could and it doesn't help that her grandmother is the root of all the evil.

Reading Mia's diary is hilarious, it reads like a teenage girls inner monologue perfectly and it is an easy read since it is in diary entry style. I know that this isn't a long review but I don't want to spoil the first book or this one for anyone intending to pick it up. I can say that I will definetly be grabbing the next in the series.

Besides the very controversial things said it's the most funniest thing I have every read.

Just as amazing as the first. More than awe-worthy. Meg Cabot, you really out did yourself!
Funny, ethical, and well-written.
AMAZING.

I'm kinda glad I'm just now reading this serious because it reminds me of younger me. Meg Cabot and Sarah Dessen were authors who stories I reread millions of times. I feel 10 again. I love that feeling. I feel in touch with my younger self but also my older self. Books are timeless and this series is an example of how it kept me timeless

I love the Princess Diaries series so much! I can't relate to Mia with her whole awkward tallness/lack of breasts/nervousness around boys, but when I was a Freshman that was my life. I feel like her thoughts were me writing a journal three years ago! I'd recommend the series to absolutely any teenage girl.

I will always love The Princess Diaries and always love to revisit the series every once in a while. Still just as fun and magical as ever, though I definitely want to smack Mia in the face for being so clueless about Michael. The dude's totally in love with you, girl! Of course, it's partially his fault for not saying anything either. Mia's inner thoughts are quite humorous and totally what a 14-year-old girl thinks about regularly. Ugh, I love it so much.

My goodness, the teenage angst! Sometimes I just want to shake Mia and tell her to say “no” to someone! Loved the bit at the end where she stood up to her grandmother though.
