3.5 stars.

This was a dark yakuza BL story. It's a series of short stories featuring yakuza men and their escapades. I like this a lot. One of the stories made me sad and brought me to tears. The art is lovely.
My only complaint is the final story was too strange for me. I still don't understand what happened, it got too convoluted for me. If you can handle the dark material, I would recommend it.

I would give the first set of stories (they seemed unconnected at first but were actually one story from different perspectives) 2 stars. They were a little disjointed for me and it seemed to be missing an ending. I bumped my rating up to 3 stars because of the last story, which I really liked and wanted more of.

I bought this after reading several glowing reviews, and I'm glad I did. Now, generally I prefer my manga to be fluffy and happiness-inducing, but I am willing to make an exception when it's as well done as this collection of stories. Be warned: they pack quite a punch, but really, it's so well done. When I read something like this (or some of Yoshinaga Fumi's short stories, which aren't necessarily similar to this collection, but which also have these twists that leave you both shocked and amazed and impressed) I'm reminded that it doesn't always take hearts and flowers to make a good story. (I still prefer them, mind you. But in the end, this was really good, so if you're in the mood for something tragic and dark, read this!)
