Miyo has been sent to live with Kiyoka Kudo for as a potential bride. She has been horrible abused by her step family and ignored by her father. While Miyo and Kiyoka do not start off well, Kiyoka becomes aware of his mistakes and starts to have feelings for Miyo. There is some mystery to her mother's side of the family.

i need miyo’s dad, stepmom and stepsister publicly tarred and feathered. miyo is such a sweetheart and she deserves unconditional love and respect from kiyoka. excited to see how their relationship develops. also predicting that miyo will end up having a supernatural ability after all. every hint they drop about her mom seems to lead to that.

On the other hand, he's like the LEAST toxic person in her life and they're cute enough that I'm willing to keep reading if I can easily find more volumes?? So there's that.

I can't even express how much I love this series. I caught up with the light novels first before hopping over to the manga. And the art is just so beautiful and adds so PERFECTLY to the emotions needed in the first story arc. This is definitely a recommended series for those who like fairy tale retellings (especially with magic), fluffy romance, and historical series
