writing style was what made this book for me, so fun to read! Heavy character analysis, satisfying ending

I fell for the pretty cover. While this book was certainly well-written, the style of the prose felt thick and hard to wade through.

Non lo so, ho la sensazione di essere rimasta in superficie tutto il tempo senza comprendere ciĆ² che stava succedendo. Penna troppo ampollosa e complessa per me.

I enjoyed the old English style diction. It made use of words that I hadn't read before which was a welcome challenge.
A reflective fictionalization of the very real Manningtree witch trials and Matthew Hopkins.
A strong story about what it means to be an outcast.
