I have mix feelings about this book. I liked it but I also feel like there's something missing from this story. The idea of the plot is fascinating and I thought it would be a great mystery story.

I was expecting I got to see how these incredible talented teenagers working together to solve a lot of cold cases and discovering serial killers that the FBI didn't manage to do all those years ago. But, instead their talent only really used near the ending of the story.

The ending was not that bad because I didn't really expect it to be her in the end. Although, a bit annoyed
Spoilerthat the real killer was still out there and they were like back to square one because the leads and hints only lead to the false killer.

To be honest, I like reading this one because the idea of these "natural" teenagers with ability that can help solve murders is interesting for me.
I will continue reading this series and see how it goes. According to some of the reviews, the story got better as the series progressed.

YA thriller, but it felt like sci-fi in a way.

After her mother's gruesome disappearance, Cassie moves in with her dad's side of the family, until at 17, she is recruited by the F.B.I. to join a group of 'Naturals' - teenagers with a natural ability to solve crimes.

Altering between the view of a serial killer and Cassie, we slowly connect the dots between a series of murders and Cassie's mom's case.

With an unlikely serial killer (HOW did they not get caught sooner?!), as well as a love triangle, and somehow ridiculously put together teenagers (ever heard of teen angst?), this seems like a lighter version of Criminal Minds - maybe even BAU fanfiction.

I found this book interesting, but lacking in the serious, dark mystery that Criminal Minds offers, and probably won't be continuing forth with the series because it was good enough to finish, but didn't seem worth another few books.

This book is amazing. I had been wanting to read it and found it cheap at a discount store so I was like why not. Once I started reading, I couldn’t stop. I live for serial killers and murder in books. This surprises me as well in regards to the twist because I never saw it coming so that’s great. The story line is riveting, I really like the characters, and the love triangle is giving me life. I’m so fucking excited about the rest of this series now. I need a library trip soon.
