This book was okay - not bad! It had a rough start for me because I am not really much of a fan of modernized Greek mythology but as the story unfolded I found myself so intrigued and overall I ended up enjoying it. If you are starting out your reading journey and getting into romance and spice, this is a great book to start!

I'm rubbish at reviewing and rarely bother with it but I enjoyed this book. Got this book via Audible. The reader did well. I'm going to listen to the other books.

At first I wasn’t sure about this book. Cyclops driving cars? That doesn’t sound safe! I also don’t care for retellings set in modern day too much. But I really enjoyed the drama and the story even if I don’t really enjoy sex scenes. (why read this book? You ask. I will gobble up any retelling I can lay my hands on )

If would have loved this if I had been a teen lol. I love green mythology but the FMC is so annoying and immature.

I was bound to get hyped because of the Hades & Persephone reference, but it wasn't the best of it for me.

It starts really strong and promising for me actually. The first time I read the book I think that I will really love that kind of storyline. The cold blooded Hades who has no marcy for mortal and the goddess of Nature with a hint of enemies to lovers trope. But then the plot jump into no where. It wasn't that bad though. I can still enjoy reading it. But it wasn't the best for me.

This is definitely a book to read for fun, not for a deep “never done before” plot. Overall, it was a fun read!
My main problem was with how incredibly clueless Persephone was. I get it - she was locked away almost her entire life. Still, she was written like a young teenager not a college senior. Pairing the total ignorance with the sex scenes left me with an icky feeling.
If I set that aside it was a fun, mindless read. No crazy plot twists - just a tale as old as time with a sprinkling of spice!
