I only picked this up because someone added it to the A play published after 1980 prompt for the
The StoryGraph’s Genre Challenge 2022 reading challenge, and I have no interest in reading plays so a 64-pager seemed like the best option.

Annoyingly, this isn't actually a play, so now I have to find something else. 🙄

Big fan of no plot, just vibes stories, so will definitely be picking up more from Yasmina Reza, though most likely will read them in their original french for full immersion.

I bought this because my name is in the title and I couldn’t resist.

It’s a very short novel (novella or long short story really) of a rather unlikeable but compelling aging actress ruminating on her successes and failures of fame, her more successful competitor and friend Gigi, aging, and other random bits. It’s largely stream of consciousness with paragraph breaks so the formatting isn’t for everyone but it makes for a quick read.

Won’t stick with me beyond the title but I did appreciate how the author created a fully realized and flawed character in 55 pages.
