I first read this book some where around 8th grade and just now 30ish years later. 
I'm 8th grade it seamed a bit of a love story. This time is was a tale of horrible abuse and imprisonment.

This book takes on shocking turns. It's a good read, but it's horrifying at times.

História perturbadora e muito pessadaa, mas foi uma leitura super cativante e eu não conseguia largar o livro.

- A escrita. A forma como a autora foi capaz de me transportar para onde as personagens estavam foi incrível;
- Todas as personagens eram interessantes, mesmo as mais desprezíveis.
- A narradora. Espero nos próximos livros ler sobree a perspectiva de outra personagem, no entanto se continuar a ser ela a narrar não me importo.

- A resolução da história. Gostei, mas esperava que fosse muito mais impactante.
- A relação incestuosa das personagens. Acredito que se tivessem ficado mais tempo fechados teria sido mais plausível.
- Os miúdos mais novos. Eles consideravam a Cathy a mãe, então porquê que chamavam mãe à outra? Make it make sense!
