This collection of Instant Pot/Pressure Cooker recipes opens with a nice introduction to the wonders and limitations of Instant cookery. The book progresses to "Getting to know your Electric Pressure Cooker" which contains some valuable tips your little cookbook included with your electric pressure cooker may have not covered.
Recipes are divided into Mornings, Fast Weeknight meals, Weekends, Soups and Desserts. Not every recipe, at least in the Kindle version, includes a photo of the finished product but the photos which are included beg to be made.
Although, this cookbook seems to address the novice pressure cooker cook, the recipes appear a bit more advanced than those included with your cooker and use items not normally included with your device.
Another nice feature included in this book is the slow cooker conversion time and additional instructions, if necessary.
I'd like to attempt a few recipes when I feel more comfortable with by IP simply because they seem to be outside the norm and really not all that difficult.

this is only not 5 stars because it requires that you have a few more gadgets for your IP than we have, so there are several recipes I can't try. but the overall feel is definitely accessible, elegant meals that have some degree of "set it and forget it" that are what keep me going as a human/parent.

last night I made orechiette with anchovies and fennel to use up some csa fennel, and it was one of those recipes where reading the list I had NO idea if we'd all like it or not. and it was a banger!! so I have to give specific props to her for adventurous but thoughtful recipe development.

This is my second Melissa Clark Instant Pot cookbook I read this week. I guess I’m looking for ways to change up our meals. Like the first cookbook, [b:Dinner in an Instant: 75 Modern Recipes for Your Pressure Cooker, Multicooker, and Instant Pot®|34617758|Dinner in an Instant 75 Modern Recipes for Your Pressure Cooker, Multicooker, and Instant Pot®|Melissa Clark|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1489836672l/34617758._SX50_.jpg|55771663] Melissa provides the cook with some essential pressure cooker advice. I read every single recipe, and almost all look interesting enough to make.

This book is for cooks who like a variety of cuisines, especially European, Asian and Middle Eastern. I wish she would add some African inspired dishes, but I now have [b:In Bibi's Kitchen: The Recipes and Stories of Grandmothers from the Eight African Countries That Touch the Indian Ocean|50482975|In Bibi's Kitchen The Recipes and Stories of Grandmothers from the Eight African Countries That Touch the Indian Ocean|Hawa Hassan|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1595216961l/50482975._SX50_.jpg|75451528] for that. Some special equipment is needed if you want to dive into this book, but if you cook a lot with an Instant Pot you likely have them (7 inch springform pan and steamer pans). There are some “exotic” ingredients for many home cooks, but anyone familiar with Melissa Clark’s cookbooks there is nothing extraordinary. This isn’t a budget meal cookbook though, some of the ingredients are pretty pricy.

Update:

I’ve made several recipes from this book now and it’s a winner. The weeknight chicken parm was delicious and the pimiento mac and cheese was the best mac and cheese I’ve ever had - and my family agrees. If you use an Instant Pot, or want to play around with one, this is the cookbook you want. I have the hardcover version which I like as I can jot down notes about recipes, and there is always some specific tweaking needed for Instant Pots. I have her other book in Kindle version, and will probably also get the hard cover.
