The author was so honest with how she felt. It sounds like she moved past the depression she felt in her early 20s so it's hopeful. I can't relate to all her experiences but she wrote them so well and I can maybe recognize those feelings in others.

I don't think I quite know how to feel aboutĀ My Lesbian Experience with Loneliness. It's such a brave piece of writing, the author is really baring her heart on basically every page. Maybe I just don't quite relate enough to the content to really justĀ get it, I don't know. Somehow it just didn't land. I think she explored the themes she tackled quite well. Reading it made me feel sad, and reminded me how depressed I can get sometimes, which I think was the one place where I really connected with the author - my feelings on sex and intimacy and love are very different, and so too are my related hangups and traumas.

I think this book is probably very good, but I can't tell because I don't think it was quite written for me.

This book absolutely wrecked me. It was so hard to get through because of the subject matter, & because I kept spiral thinking about my shitty life while reading it. I honestly am not okay after reading this & idk if I will recover. This book hits you right in the heart, or if you're like me then it reads you for filth & leaves your corpse in a ditch. I highly highly recommend this book, but please be careful it's a doozy
