To sum this book up in one word - Amazing. This is a great series, but I think fans and readers have been waiting for Gabe's story and this book is well worth the wait. Gabe and Sadie's story is perfect and you will once again fall in love with Jetty Beach. What I love about Claire Kingley's writing is that she creates strong, independent women and pairs them with me who love and respect them for who they are. Readers are taken on an emotional journey as we are reminded of the power love has to heal. This story is filled with love, fate (courtesy of my favorite heroine Clover) and an incredible journey that is filled with so many poignant moments. The love scenes are steamy (as we would not expect anything less from a Claire Kingsley book) but also tender, sweet and healing. I am a huge fan of this author and series and for me it is hard to pick just one, but if push came to shove I think this would be my absolute favorite. The story and characters have stuck with me even after I turned the last page.

I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy provided to me by the author.

Wonderful Story!

This one was unique as it was more suspenseful than the rest but it made a good storyline and story to tell.

They met, they clicked, they found their paths forward.

Sadie’s ex is a massive piece of shinola. Just wow.

I really enjoyed this and the epilogue made me smile so big. All the JB characters at one party! That would be so much fun to be at!

I don’t want this series to be over lol

There were parts of it that I really liked and parts that made me cringe. I think the relationship between Gabe and Sadie was good for the most part. Gabe was supportive and protective of Sadie; Sadie opened up and trusted in her relationship with Gabe. That’s really nice to see as most of the books in the series haven’t shown that initial trust/relationship building.  However, the commentary leading up to the first sexual encounter made me uncomfortable.
The reader figures out pretty early on that Sadie was assaulted, if not raped. Gabe making comments about being frustrated that she doesn’t want to be super physical right away really hit me wrong. He obviously didn’t know the full story, but she did tell him she left Missouri to get away from someone. She was obviously uncomfortable with certain physical contact, and I felt like he wasn’t always respectful of that. There were plenty of clues; he just chose to ignore them.
There weren’t any content warnings when I started this book, but I really encourage people to check them out, especially if they’re sensitive to sexual violence.

After knowing Gabe from previous books, I was looking forward to his story. It ended up being sweet and even dramatic. This was a fairly emotional story. Overall, I enjoyed it. However, I did find it frustrating how much they underestimated the threats. And it was great to see all the couples find their happy endings, even if it was impossible to keep everyone and their kids straight.

This one was gentle and sweet, despite containing serious subject matters. I appreciate the realistic and respectful way being the survivor of assault was approached. I also appreciate that miscommunication was NOT part of the plot for the main couple, and that these characters were mature and talked about things before jumping to conclusions. They were so cute! I was rooting so hard for them. They both knew what they wanted and didn't deviate or let insecurities get in the way. That's so refreshing for a romance plot.

I also loved the glimpse of all 7 couples from the series, and their growing families, that we got in the epilogue. It was the perfect way to wrap the entire series up.
