I've liked this one better than the last few. Although, it's weird that Tricia & Angelica seem to think that if someone is a lesbian they couldn't run a romance book shop that has primarily hetero relationships.
Also, I'd really like to see Jenny get her comeuppance. She's just a snobby brat.

I feel like I can’t quit the series because I’m so invested in it. I adore the town and the characters, but the love stories and contention is wearing me out.

The mysteries are always interesting though.

Ms. Barrett does it again. Aside from the legendary Poirot this is my favorite mystery series and I read them as a palate cleanser when I want to just immerse myself in a great story with great characters who just happen to be tied up in yet another murder.

We have the usual cast of characters back again - Tricia, Angela, Pixie, Mr. Everett and the rest of the crew from Booktown USA.

There's a murder which (surprise) Tricia discovers, there's some drama with the local animal shelter, the amateur baking contest and her very own mystery bookstore.

The mystery part of the book is more pronounced than usual and that's a good thing (surprisingly the mystery is usually the least interesting part of Ms. Barrett's books) but we've still got a great town filled with amazing characters that I truly care for and have been reading for about a decade now.

It doesn't hurt that she's a local author either (gotta support the local people ya know).

Really good - if you haven't read this series I would recommend to start at the beginning and read them all.

I love visiting Booktown. I am a big fan of the town and all the characters. This book had a great mystery and I did not see who the culprit was until the end. I was a little frustrated with all of the repeated dinners and mundane tasks...then again the main character was also struggling with this in her life, so maybe it was intentional? All and all a great book and I look forward to visiting my friends in Booktown again.

A Killer Edition is number 13 in the Booktown series. Stoneham is a small town, known as Booktown, for all the specialty book stores it has. The main character, of course, owns a mystery book store.

Guys. I've never cared for the main character of this series. She's so boring and is VERY unlikable. But I always liked the other characters. However, the only side character we saw much of in this one was Tricia's sister and I didn't like her in this one at all. Honestly, I probably would have given up on this series a while ago if I had to buy them. But the library gets them and they're super quick reads, so on I go. Eh.
