Loved this! Short enough to mostly read in a sitting, I just love this author! She has found the absolute best ratio of heart warming, comedy, and Kindle melting heat, with the exact amount of side story needed to keep you interested yet not overwhelm you with details that are irrelevant to the story. I love Yo and his family. And such a strong spiritual guy with deep rooted beliefs. I loved seeing the devotion and faith displayed so positively without any judgment. I really liked how inclusive it felt. I feel like I got to see something that not many people of other faiths get to see. It was really insightful. Just another way thing I loved about this book and I can't wait for more stories from this author.

I received an ARC of Eight Cozy Nights from the author and I am happy to give my honest review.

I loved this book. I love anything Julia Wolf writes. She could rewrite the phonebook and I would be riveted. I especially love that this book featured Yo (Avi’s cousin from Pixie Cut) and a smart, tough doctorate student named Larissa. Yo is hilarious and I love women in STEM industries.

Larissa moved back to Baltimore for her doctorate studies and lived with her sister and family for a few months before settling into her own apartment. I really loved Larissa’s sister and her husband. The scene with the three of them hanging out by a fire had me cracking up. Larissa’s new apartment is across from Yo’s apartment and their first meeting included her falling over his bike and ripping her favorite leggings (a tragedy!!)

Yo is a hairstylist who works in his family’s salon. He has taken the week of Hanukkah off to relax and have some time for himself. He is always busy at work or helping his family. I really appreciated that Yo had a need to stay both physically and mentally busy because I’m the same way. He loves to read and learn new things as well as bike ridiculous amounts of miles.

Yo and Larissa kick it off and begin a friendship over the Hanukkah candles. I loved reading their descriptions of the latkes and history of the holiday. It sounded so magical. Their friendship evolves rapidly as they spend every waking hour together over the eight days. I found their fall into love so realistic and beautiful that I couldn’t stop smiling. Plus he took her on a date to the library. How freaking adorable is that?

"I love you, Larissa. I know it seems crazy, not going to qualify it. I just love you."

We get a quick glimpse at what’s going on with our other favorite couples from prior books. There’s lots of babies and other adorableness. I loved this book and I will continue to read anything Julia puts out.

I REALLY liked this. There were a few things with the writing style that kept it from being perfect and a new favorite...but it was still a great read and I would definitely recommend it. I've never read a book set during Hanukkah before and I thought this was really well done. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

This is the perfect holiday romance novella. Funny, sweet and sexy. I was genuinely laughing at some of the banter.

This had everything I want from a good romance. Sweet, slightly snarky heroine. Adorable funny sunshine-y hero. Cute holiday traditions like lightning the menorah every night, cooking latkes. Adorable side characters and family - especially heroine's sister who writes BDSM erotic romance. And it even had SNOW.

I loved how a lot of Jewish traditions were woven in and I really liked learning about them.
And I loved how the romance bloomed between them. Even though it was a short novella, it felt like a complete story.

There is even a scene where the hero takes heroine to a library and then reads to her from a book later. I mean come on, is there anything better. I am definitely interested in picking up other books by this author now.

When Larissa nearly kills herself tripping over her new neighbor’s bike, she is not impressed. But when Yo introduces himself, she can’t help but be enamored by him. Will sparks be flying from more than just the menorah this Hanukkah?

When I saw Kindle Unlimited had a cozy Hanukkah romance novella, I was beyond excited. If you couldn’t already tell, I love all Hallmark Christmas movies and cute Christmas books but a Hanukkah book will always be more relatable to me.

I love that their romance is set over the 8 nights of Hanukkah. They’re both on breaks from work so it feels like a vacation from the real world and the perfect backdrop for a blossoming romance.

This book actually makes Hanukkah feel magical which is so refreshing to me. They weren’t trying to explain everything to a character or the reader. Instead, we get two Jewish leads enjoying Hanukkah together and letting it create all the sparks between them.

Eight Cozy Nights is everything I’ve always wanted from a Hallmark Hanukkah movie but it’s steamier, more authentic, and infinitely better.

It’s so unfortunate that I didn’t love Eight Cozy Nights even though I really wanted to. I liked Larissa and Yo, and their romance, but it didn’t leave me as cozy as I had hoped. I loved the family aspect, and all the parts of Hanukkah, but I felt some of the romance was lacking.

Larissa was such a great character, and I definitely loved her, but this felt more like her story than Larissa and Yo’s story. All of that said, I loved reading a holiday romance that was centered around Hanukkah! I did some extra research to really understand certain aspects of the holiday—this is afterall focused on romance—so it ended up being very educational.

And even though I wanted more from Yo, I liked that he and Larissa talked a lot, and got to actually know each other. Overall, it was a cute story and I’ll check out more from the author.

Happy Reading, friends!

EIGHT COZY NIGHTS by Julia Wolf is my first Hanukkah romance & I absolutely loved it!

Things I Loved:
1. It’s a Hanukkah themed book! I loved the setting of the 8 days of Hanukkah. The family traditions, prayers, lighting of the candles and the age-old question of sour cream or applesauce with your potato latkes?
2. A cozy, open door & believable romance between two new neighbors.
3. These characters communicate & are open & vulnerable with one another.
4. A short & memorable novella - I seriously think novellas are my new thing. I don’t need a lot of build-up. Give me the love story and let’s get it going.
5. EIGHT COZY NIGHTS is a perfect foray into diverse holiday reads for me. I loved it so much! It’s part of a series but I read it as a stand-alone.
❄️
This book is available on Kindle Unlimited & can easily be read in about 90 minutes. Y’all please keep me updated on your holiday reading recs!
