I loved this book even tho the ending was a little rushed an flop...and... I'm so sorry but i was not happy with the final paring as for Avery and Jameson... but! I very much enjoyed the Xander Max duo. They have my whole heart <3

3 stars? I’m not sure I need to let it marinate.
SPOILERS
All the questions are answered and I think they were satisfying enough. However, something about the ending doesn’t feel satisfactory. Instead it comes out as a waste of time? I got so invested for this?? idk
We’ve been chasing after these clues for what feels like forever and immersed in this unique and mysterious world and it’s almost as if Avery left it worse than how it was.
And the ending, my gosh, in my opinion was so childish, stupid, and naïve.
What was the point of all of it, if she was going to give it all away? I feel so bad for the Hawthorne family, all their legacy gone. Like I understand that Avery somewhat secured a future for herself and her sister but what about the Hawthorne boys?
Sure it seems that the boys have money left from investment and such but everything feels pointless.
