This was a short, gentle, philosophical exploration of purpose, life and burnout/general fatigue. There isn't a lot that occurs here, but the conversations between Dex and Mosscap were interesting and touched on complex themes and emotions. I did enjoy their dynamic and I loved the ending. The middle section was a bit too slow for my liking and if this wasn't so short, I likely would have set this title down and walked away for a bit. I liked that the ending seems to end on a question and I'm interested to see if Dex and Mosscap find what they're looking for.

Never thought I would say it, but: too much swearing.
Stylistically speaking, this book is a mess. It feels incredibly jarring seeing serene descriptions of nature and quasi-religious insights juxtaposed with discussions of someone's "hot dad".
I also felt that the ending was a little abrupt. It read like a TV episode that was coming to a close (which is not how I want to experience books).
Also, that monk was weirdly horny.

My new favorite book, and one of the most beautiful books I've read, ever. Please pick this book up and prepare to FEEL.

This book seemed to have a good storyline, but the writing was more lyrical than I prefer. I typically enjoy a faster paced book and I kept zoning out.
