"No one has a right to your happiness. It’s a private thing and you have the right to defend it.”

Oh my god!

This was amazing!!

Its been a while since I've read a romantic novel from Tarryn and oh my this was spectacular!!

I little bit of The Opportunist here:
“There’s something that ties you to your first love, don’t you think? Something that won’t let go.

I loved how dramatic and toxic Billie was through the book. But She had her good moments.. and I loved all the drama in the office with Pearl and Woods and Billie, so exciting haha

But mostly this goes to Satcher, such a nice portrait of true love. And yes he's hot as hell, funny and smart. Perfect.

"She is what she is and that’s exactly what I fell in love with."

I felt the book to short i waaant moreeeeee!!

I couldn't stop reading. This is definitly one of my favs of the year.

"Love hurts in the way a toothache hurts: you can’t ignore it, and it’s always there throbbing and aching, reminding you ... of what? I think desperately. What is it reminding you of?That you’re human. That you have weakness. That your weakness is another person."

This had a unique three part layout that switched narrators in each section. It takes place over a span of time and went places I didn’t think it would go. Very interesting and entertaining.

I can’t say I was entirely crazy about the heroines actions (you’ll know when you read it), towards the end of the book which made this feel a little less romance and a tad more general fiction about a heroines journey of self discovery.

Billie Tarrow is tough on the outside, soft on the inside. She's independent however, she needs to be challenged and loved fiercely and unconditionally.

Woods Tarrow is a loser, through and through. He's adaptable in the worst sense of the word. Jumping from one version of himself to another. Inconsistent. Easily swayed. Only wants what he can't have. Does this man even have beliefs? Morals?

Satcher Gable is a man. Driven and wealthy. To many women, untouchable. Billie included. He's always been her handsome friend. The one she can be herself with, the one she can laugh with. The one she knows could get any women he wanted just by catching their eye.

Billie's growth is an ugly process throughout this journey, but what's a woman supposed to do when she's forced into a divorce? Through a trauma, to seeking revenge, to healing and finding peace through time--Billie has a ways to go. Will she ever figure out what she  truly needs?

This is the 15th book of Tarryn Fishers that I have read, and what have I learned about her this time around? That she has some sort of writing magic power that makes you believe you are reading her for the first time, everytime. Maybe it's because every female character she writes I can find a part of myself in..it might be why I'm drawn to her women characters. But damn, does she know how to write relatable women!

My favorite character in this book was byyyyyy far Satcher. We knew from the very beginning his intentions with Billie were clear, even if she couldn't see it. I was pretty much screaming, "Open your eyes, girl!!" the entire time. His character never swayed, never changed, never disappointed in my eyes (yes, even then, readers). Consistency is key when it comes to men, and Tarryn hit it dead on.

If you're looking for a delicious revenge read, this is for you. If you're looking for swoon-worthy love this is for you. If you find guilty pleasure in a good love triangle..this is for you.

This was a great audiobook. I found myself staying in the car longer or doing extra chores around the house with the airpods on. For a second there, I was about to kill Billie but then it ended as I expected.

I loved this book so much. Billie was so damn relatable and Satcher. Omg Satcher might be my favorite character Tarryn has ever written.

You shouldn’t have to convince anyone to choose you. There is no real choice in love.
- Tarryn Fisher, F*ck Love

Ok....... so..... where in the world do I even begin with this book! I rated it a 3 stars merely because

1. I honestly couldn’t put the book down. I mean I finished the dang thing in two days, that is so unlike me. Especially as a Mother of two toddlers and a business. It normally takes me much longer to read a book but thanks to Quarantine and this crazy drama filled book I just couldn’t stop!

2. I kept hoping that what I wanted to happen would freaking happen! I don’t want to share spoilers so I’ll try my very best to explain my review without spoiling this freaking roller coaster of a book.

The first half of the book was really good. Billie annoyed me with her bitchy attitude, her obsession with getting back at her cheating Ex- Husband, and she was so immature that I just wanted to smack her! But I also couldn’t help but love her and continued to root her on in her quest. Her super messed up drama filled quest.

Then there is Satcher and I instantly swoon for this guy! The moment things start getting heated with Him and Billie, it gets snatched away! I have never been more frustrated with the relationship between two characters as I am with the two of them.

The book is worth Reading. I adore Tarryn and loved her writing style which is much different than the past books I have read. But I was so irritated with this book! It’s a good read but you have been warned!

“Don’t be upset that you can’t attain constant happiness. It’s the quickest way to feel like a failure in life. If each of our lives represented a page in a book, happiness would be the punctuation. It breaks up the parts that are too long. It closes off some things, divides others. But it’s brief—showing up when it’s needed and filling tired paragraphs with breaks.”
