This book pulled me out of a deep reading slump. It was historical, lovable, thought-provoking journey. There were several themes that carried throughout via the characters and time frame. Read this if you love period pieces, history, art and culture plus family ties.

Interesting historical fiction with flawed characters. It took a bit of time to get into but ended up becoming pretty engaging. I think it will make for good book club discussion!

A beautiful life story! I enjoyed reading this book. Bell is the personal Librarian of JP Morgan. She is responsible for curating most of his collection.  Bell has a secret she is black and is passing for white in New York.
