I've wanted to try this author for a while, unfortunately this book wasn't for me. Couldn't connect to the characters at all, the background story with cassie was more interesting. I don't know if it's just this book I won't like of this author, or whether I won't like anymore of hers. Don't think it helped this book was written so long ago, my heart wasn't in it to finish it, I left it at 53%, and read the last chapter. Not bothered I did t finish it.

i was glad that regan was the fmc and not cassie. i bet she is going to be in one of the next books but at least not in this one. i appreciated that cassie’s story progressed in the background and in her book we’re going to deal only with aftermath.
i wasn’t sure about him always opening some buttons on her blazers.
i like the beginning of their story and the humor between them. i didn’t like the middle with its miscommunications. the ending was nice but i was expecting more.

Going back through some of la Nora’s backlist. I’m not sure I read these back in the day. Still a good family series. She always did those so well.

3.5 stars. I'm pleasantly surprised by this book, it was pretty good. Not the greatest but definitely a good book to kill some time with. I have for a long time had this notion that Nora Robert's book wasn't anything for me but I'm starting to think that's not true
