Knocked it outta the park!

Another stellar 5 star from Liz! She never fails to hit character growth from well thought out characters, weaving her magical, reality-based writing. I love these people so much!!!! Bc in my head, they ARE real!!!

bless Liz Tomforde for creating such an amazing group of men

i will bend over backwards for Kai and Max Rhodes and you could feel it was the hardest decision for Miller, doing what she did. i will never get over the Windy City men

A solid 3.7, not as good as the first two in the series but still felt like I couldn’t put it down, I love for a sports romance

This was honestly such a beautiful love story. You’ll encounter themes of residual guilt, hyper independence which of course is a trauma response, close proximity, nanny-single dad romance.
Both characters are flawed and they’re both trying to make the best of their current situations. It’ll require the FMC to consider what life is like being rooted and having a group of people to call her people. It’ll require the MMC to become aware of the support system he has reading available, if only he’d ask for help. It also requires both of them to break down their walls and lean into the feelings one is desperately trying to keep denying and the other is trying to hone in before they eat him alive. This is a story of two people coming to realizations of life paths they didn’t know were possible while falling undeniably in love while downplaying said feels. I got so aggravated during this read because love didn’t have to be this hard and they didn’t have to live in heartbreak as long as they did. But like most love stories, this has a beautiful, happy ending.
