It goes back and forth between Millicent's life and O'Meara's adventures in researching for this book which I greatly enjoyed. I love when people get inside baseball on things they're passionate about. It helps that both stories are incredibly compelling.
I also liked how the magic of the film industry was balanced with the many problems pervasive to that and let's be real most other industries: sexism, racism, and ableism. These are all unfortunately alive and well, and we need to shine lights on them to be able to drive them out.

This is a description of a woman's life who lived and worked in the early 20th century, so there are a lot of gross, misogynistic quotes and behaviors described in the book to illustrate what she had to deal with.kshertz's review against another edition
