This was exactly what I wanted and needed afrer acosf.
I really enjoy books by Ilsa and I had high hopes for this book after really liking I Dare You.
From time to time I love to read NA romances and this series is pretty low on the drama and very adorable and cute.

Penelope was a nerdy relatable girl and I adored her obsession with Twilight and romance novels. She wanted to be a writer and I enjoyed her little snippets of her own stories.
I also loved how straight forward she was, plus I found her to be funny too.

Ryker was awesome. He was a very likable love interest, because he was funny, outgoing and really caring.
I liked that just like Pen, he was talkative and communication wasn't a problem for the two of them.

Their relationship felt so natural and easy, they had compatible personalities and I really felt that their relationship was long lasting because they had many things in common and they had fun together. The chemistry between Ryker and Penelope was also great, I think we got just enough of the steamy stuff.

The bet drama wasn't over the top at all, it was enjoyable and not very angsty. Just the right amount in my opinion.
I enjoyed the side characters too, Charisma was awesome and I really appreciated that Penelope and her step sister became friends and that there wasn't girl hate as it usually happens in these types of books.
Overall I got what I wanted and I had a fun time.

Loved this one just as much as I loved I Dare You! Loved the differences and challenges that Ryker and Penelope go through and over come for their love story.
I hope Ilsa comes out with another sports romance like these!!! Such a great writer!

Enjoyed this!

I really enjoyed Ryker and Penelope’s story. Both characters were great separately and together. The other characters in the book were great too....well excluding Archer. If you enjoy low angst and HEA’s then 1-click this one!

It was a fun fast read... Just sometimes very heavy on the clichés.

Hmmm...

I didn’t hate it but I didn’t love it. I listened to more than I read of this book and maybe I would have liked it more if I had read with my eyes. The story just seemed to come across as a bit overly dramatic and unreal. I’m not used to feeling this way about this author’s works.

I Bet You is the story of the nerdy girl and the superstar quarterback. I really enjoyed getting to know both characters. They had a realness quality to them that just drew me in. The world building is fantastic. I was just as invested in the secondary characters lives as the main characters. The star of the whole book is the parrot, Vampire Bill.

I adored I Dare You. I Bet You is just as good. Ilsa writes amazing college romances that take you on a journey. They give you swoons and laughs, but also have a lot of heart. Look no further for a fantastic sports, college romance.

I voluntarily read an early copy.

This was a great NA Romance that gives you all the feels. Ryker is just a boy in love and doesn't know it. He has his issues, and so does Penelope. Penelope lives in her head, and doesn't really realize all what is going on. She is stubborn, and gives Ryker a run for his money. The football team as a whole plays secondary characters, and they are a hot mess.
I really hope we get to see a book for Blaze, he is a hot mess of adhd, and I really enjoyed him as a secondary character. The book is rich with great characters, and a good story line. The pacing was great, there was never a time I was wanting the book to be over. As a matter of fact I was up way too late reading. This book is told in dual pov.

I loved the historical romance

I love Ryker's story. I feel like even though this book is a standalone you should really read the first book because you get a little taste of Ryker and his friendship with Maverick. As well as the story is the almost the same formula except for few changes and the added historical romance inbetween. I will be reading the Charisma and Blaze story next!
