Where do I even start with this review? This book had so many beautiful moments throughout that focusing on just a few would be impossible. It was sensual and heartfelt and their love story was very different from the others due to their injuries and how to overcome them. I don’t want to spoil any of these tender moments for those who haven’t read it, but I do want to share how Aeron felt so in love with Trix, that he would choose her life and needs over his own. He wanted a future with her and would choose her healing over the ability to hear, even while he believed he would not be allowed to be a Guardian any more while deaf. I love the cameos of the others throughout and Trix seeing a friendly face. Their first time together was making love and not just f*in and that was a plus to read. Aeron wanted to savor touch and he wanted to feel every bit of her pleasure, while also making sure she was not in pain. Fated mated gives a new meaning to this for me because Trix is able to speak ASL and able to communicate with her mate. She was a perfect match for him with her abilities and intelligence to equal Aeron and his thirst for knowledge. I know all the mates are equally matched, but these two have just taken on something more for me. I enjoyed seeing them overcome their past and the bullying they endured to now be at the top. And can we talk about the ritual?? Hot, Hot, Hot as Hell! And all 6 named Sluagh now….Yes! I loved every bit and I can’t wait to see all these little nuggets play out on the creation of Elphyne and what is really going on. So good! Excellent job Lana! I want to see what Daddy Leaf gets into in Book 9 and who his mate is, and those Crows! Can’t stop talking about this book and recommending this series enough!

This book really blew me away

It is written in a way that really emphasises the main character's disabilities.

Aeron is searching for a way to regain his hearing but is taught how to communicate by Trix. Their bond is so cute and some of their interactions are truly touching.

Also the spicy scenes were *chef's kiss* amazing. So hot!

Really truly awesome. This is really one of my favourite series

Trix and Aeron

I loved this one! Both Trix and Aeron feel broken. They heal together and learn to love and accept themselves and what they previously thought of as flaws. The main story advances quite a bit and is very exciting. I think there will be big reveals with Leaf's book.

Oh my!! I love this book, Aeron and Trixe's story was so good. Their story didn't start out like the other books. They accepted each other as mates a lot better than some of the others. Aeron dirty talking and throat grabbing was the best. Loved that the crows and slaugh showed up a lot more in this book and can't wait for more of them. But.. that ending... oh my.. the next book needs to hurry up!

“Wasn’t that what every soul craved? To have someone they loved sitting by their side until the end?”

Aeron and Trix’s story is one of patience, understanding, acceptance and endurance.
I found their journey one of the sweetest of the series actually. Aeron had a rough upbringing and Trix was very manipulated before, so they both have some hard time trusting people. But they find themselves stuck in a foreign place for a few weeks so they begin to understand that to survive they must try to trust each other. As they begin to do so, their bond starts to become stronger and they discover that maybe what was forced on them brought them together and made them stronger.
Their chemistry is amazing and seriously I don’t know how Lana has made all these couples that just are prefect for each other every single book! Cannot wait to read the next book and unfold all the unsolved questions in the series!

(I received and ARC copy of this book - the opinions are my own)
