The way this Black Hammer story is being told in this circuitous fashion is so fresh and interesting, despite the fact that the characters are generally explicit homages to DC staples.

Easily my least favorite of the Black Hammer spin off books. It's not that it was bad per se, but it just wasn't the book I was expecting. The writing was fine and Torres' was good as usual, but overall I was disappointed by the series.
