So cute!

I love a heist story so I was all signed up. I love how Oren's predeter senses are described in the book. It was an awesome addition. I also love how much he loved Yara 🥰

I wish we had a bit more sex in it though. He had a fun pp that I wish was described more lol

This is definitely an adventure book. There's some interesting language barriers near the beginning, and there is obviously a love story between the main character and the bounty hunter, but otherwise this is a generic space adventure. It doesn't have the same elements i valued in book 2, but that's ok because this is its own story. I still look forward to the next book.

Ann Aguire truly has a talent for writing these alien stories that truly embrace the alien aspect of things. It is so creative and immersive that I'm pretty sure I read this all in one sitting.

The story deals with a lot of the trust issues that the H faces in his line of work but slowly starts to get fascinated by the h and her humanity as well as how accepting she is of him. This is such a comfort book for me I probably will want to reread this before the end of the year.

I freaking loved this book! The heist storyline, all the adventure and droids. The theme of family, being loved, wanted and accepted.

I loved Yara and Oren. Give me an emotionally damaged MMC in need of love and acceptance and I will melt into a puddle. Add a witty, strong female with nothing to lose and lots of love to give…perfection. Plus all of the side characters, they felt fully developed without taking up too much of the story. I kept worrying that Yara’s mom would end being bad and turning on them and was so relieved that she was just her mom and they were happy to be reunited. I also enjoyed the return of characters from the last book in the series, even Bojak.

I loved the slow burn of revealing Oren, what he looked like and who he is. And one of my favorite thing about this whole series is that the aliens are ALIEN, not kind of alien but still with human junk…it’s true sci-fi weirdness happening and I love it. This was such a wonderful read, I found myself immersed and enjoying every minute of it. Especially all of Orens declarations to Yara and the way he calls her “my tiny nightmare”…swoon, hard swoon.

It’s definitely more of a heist book than a romance novel- which, with a title like ‘Renegade Love’, you’d expect the romance to be a focus. So I didn’t get what I wanted out of it. If you’re looking for a quirky heist sci-fi with a side of romance and too much description of lizard dick, this book is for you. It gives Mandolorian fanfic vibes. For a 293 page digital book, this dragged on forever and I only finished it so I could add this too my read books.
