I sometimes get confused between Beth and Bette when I'm reading all quicklike. But I like that we're seeing things from Hawkfire's point of view now. I don't know much about Batwoman and Batman's history, all I know is what they've alluded to in these comics, but I feel like it's kind of a dick move to be trapping Batman, even for Kate. But I'm glad Maggie finally knows, even though surely that won't end well, it never does in stories like this.

4.5 stars for me! Again, a riveting, exciting, action-packed continuation of the previous volumes. Inclusion of Bat-villains like Bane and Killer Croc was really nice, especially Croc's aside. The ending is a complete cliffhanger & I need Vol. 5 in my life like right meow.

The previous volume left a bit to be desired but Batwoman is back to being compelling. Killer Croc is truly engaging and Hawkfire is really growing on me.

This was *going* to have an epic showdown between Bruce and Kate. *sigh* Stupid DC editorial.

Are you freaking kidding me?

I read TPBs so they don't end in cliffhangers. So I get a complete story.

But noooooo...

This volume of Batwoman has to end in, not 1, but 2 cliffhangers.

Crap.

I really enjoyed this story. The action is great. Mags and Kate's relationship is fantastic. (Wasn't Mags originally from Metropolis?) I really liked the issue focusing on Croc. And the end was rather suspenseful - making the cliffhanger(s) much more annoying.

I'll definitely be looking for volume 5.

I absolutely loved this, fantastic stuff. Very character-focused, yet intense plot with gorgeous art.
It's a shame the story never got it's proper conclusion though, all because some higher ups at DC didn't want two (fictional) women to get married. I don't think I'll be picking up the next volume, but I'm going to get the single issue(s) that - more or less, probably less - wrap this story up, in digital form because I don't like ending things on a cliffhanger. After that, I can finally catch up on what Batwoman has been up to in Rebirth titles.

Impressive graphics but it all got a bit messy and overloaded at times, and the story wasn't entirely captivating either.

Wasn't that into this volume. Not especially interested in seeing Batwoman being forced to go up against Batman. The thing with Kate injecting herself with Scarecrow toxin to relate to Maggie's experience was weird. A sort of unfortunate end to J.H. Williams III's run on this series.
