So I started off enjoying the book. Then it just became annoying. Charlie and David gave me whiplash. One minute he was calling her his light the next he basically ignores her so she leaves crying. And repeat about 10 times. PICK A SIDE DAVID! She kept saying I love him and want to be with him then she would say I know he isn’t good but I can’t help it. Not my fav but not the worst thing. If you want to get a headache and get mad at the characters, this is for you!

Little better than the first one but that is because I enjoyed the characters more. Favourite narrators again, Troy. Spice lvl 4-5. Cliffhanger just leading to the next characters in the next book.

In *Atone*, Cassandra Robbins masterfully weaves a gripping tale of redemption, revenge, and the complexities of love against the backdrop of a dangerous biker culture. We meet David, a man haunted by his past, wrestling with his inner demons and the sins he's desperate to atone for. His return after a nine-year absence sets the stage for a riveting journey filled with tension and intrigue as he seeks vengeance against the forces that altered his life forever. Robbins skillfully explores David's turmoil, and readers are drawn into his struggle as he strives to uncover a traitor lurking within the club.

Enter Charlie, a bright and bold young woman on the brink of adulthood. Smitten with the enigmatic David, her character shines as a beacon of hope in his shadowy world. Robbins portrays Charlie with depth and determination, creating a heroine who embodies strength and resilience. Their undeniable chemistry crackles off the page, adding layers of emotional complexity to the narrative.

Robbins excels in her ability to intertwine raw vulnerability with fierce ambition, as Charlie's drive to pursue her feelings for David defies the odds. *Atone* is not just a story of two flawed individuals seeking solace in one another; it’s a testament to the lengths one will go to protect love and find closure.

With her vivid storytelling and rich character development, Cassandra Robbins delivers a page-turner that keeps readers on the edge of their seats. The plot twists are expertly crafted, making it difficult to predict what lies ahead. If you're looking for an intense romance filled with suspense, *Atone* is a must-read. Prepare to be captivated by the highs and lows of David and Charlie's electrifying journey—this is a tale that will linger in your mind long after the last page is turned.

Pain and healing

You get to know the basics of David's backstory in book 1 but you dive deep into all of his pain in this one. So much he has to atone for. His and Charlie's story has so much heart. I loved it so much!
