A very fun book that goes into the details of someone’s entrée into the underground world of deception — similar to parts of Gone Girl in that respect. There are some dark emotional themes but overall book has a relatively fun and light feeling, considering the topics.

Listen. This book gave me ANXIETY. Erin was the most insufferable narrator. The first chapter was incredible but I hated her soon after. I’m not sure how I feel about her by the end. This was way outside my normal reading and while I wasn’t fully convinced on how the story unfolded and wrapped up, I still couldn’t put it down.
