We were warned that this was all smut, no plot. I usually wouldn’t have minded but this was so far from the first novella. There was no tension. Bri felt so dull, like a mindless doll that fell into a Dom/sub dynamic overnight and lost all of her spark. Harrison was better, he didn’t change much. Even though some of the dialogue felt so cringy. It had lots of kinks that I liked but there was no real emotion behind it, in my opinion.

Thank you “negative reviewer” because this was definitely for me
This was really enjoyable. I loved diving into Bri and Harrison’s intimate dynamic.
The attention to detail the author, Octavia Jensen, delivered in this installment was perfect.
The balance between scenes and aftercare, praise and degradation, possessiveness and autonomy, the beautiful way communication worked between the lead characters. I truly enjoyed that there were no active secondary characters, sure other characters were named but there was nothing outside of Bri and Harrison.
Usually stories like these leave me wishing for the before. The before is not needed, at least I don’t need it, all I need is the now… AND THAT LAST INSTALLMENT! How dare it not be released already!
