I have always had the biggest crush on John Stamos since the very beginning of his career playing Blackie on General Hospital. When his memoir was first published, I had the book on hold but read some reviews saying it wasn’t that good so I decided I would not read it. Now, I’m kicking myself for waiting so long to read it. This turned out to be a fantastic read for me.

I absolutely loved this memoir and it has made me love John Stamos even more. His writing style is beautiful and, at times, has a poetic flair to it. There are times when his story is laugh out loud funny and I enjoyed the chuckles. His life story was not without its trials and tribulations. I learned a lot about him that I did not know and about his struggles with addiction and grief. it all has made me only love him more as an actor/musician humanized more as a whole person instead of just a pretty face. I will highly recommend this memoir to others.

I don’t ever like to rate memoirs because it being their story and it feels weird to rate their life, but this book, oh my goodness. Growing up watching Full House, I grew a connection with John Stamos as Uncle Jesse and have loved him from the beginning. If you loved him as much as I did, I definitely recommend. John Stamos believes everyone has a book in them and he definitely disappoint with his. I listened to this as an audiobook which made it more meaningful for me as he narrated it himself. This book made me laugh and I definitely cried. This book pulled on my heartstrings so much and I didn’t want it to end.
