Cute continuation of the series, wish it had been more of a slow burn between the couple instead of just stupidity getting in their way.

While I didn't love this one as much as Hunt the Stars, I still loved the cast and continuation of the plot.

I mean, who couldn't love a sweet and intelligent rainbow-haired protagonist with her quiet, protective, large teddy bear of a romantic interest?

Include more war developments, character growth, and further worldbuilding, and it was a fun, enjoyable ride.

Rating: A-
He frowned at the unfamiliar term but figured it out when I wiggled my fingers and made an “ooOOOoOooo” noise. He shook his head. “I’m not using my ability. Also, I believe you are imitating a ghost, not a Valoff.”
Lost it.

Truly enjoying this series! I felt like Kee and Varro didn't have the same spark I wanted when it was time for their romance, but I still had a great time reading.

Good colorful characters

I really enjoyed the relationship between Kee and Varro as well as getting to know them individually. After the first book I was hoping to get their story. What I really loved about Kee was how relatable she was to a neurodivergent reader. How she processes information, hyper-fixates on projects, and forgetting information. I enjoyed seeing her grow as a character and the fact that Varro embraced her and didn't try to change her.
Kee and Varro's relationship is probably one of my new favorites. They learn how to communicate with each other, how to be supportive while being protective, and are a good example of lovers who are friends.
