The consequence of procrastination is it takes you years to realize the author you've been one clicking since August 2015 is one you now want to binge read. If it wasn't clear I have been collecting Claire Contreras books but had yet to read one...until now. If you are foolish like me and waited, stop stalling. You need this book. If you are a fan then I guess you already know what's in store for you!

The Consequence of Falling is real. It's stubborn, entitled brattiness. It's aimlessness and lost goals. It's passing through life without living it. Until...It's not any more.

Real characters. Real flaws. Real feels. And yes real tears. Claire Contreras made me a part of the story and I fell. I swear she must have known me in another life because the stubborn pain in the ass (also know as Princess) took her bitchy, stubborn lessons from me. (Though I have never been entitled, clearly Presley took those lessons to the next level. 😆)

The Consequence of Falling is real. It's sexy. It's tension filled angst. It's loneliness in a crowd. It's longing and despair. It's love, regret, and straight up stubbornness but it's also sweet, hot, and every thing you ever wanted.

Fall and fall hard because it's worth the consequences.

I really enjoyed this book. Enemies to lovers is my absolute favorite troupe and Claire Contreras' Consequence of Falling did it justice. Sexy, emotional, and angsty, I was hooked from the very first page.

Nathaniel and Presley butted heads like crazy. They're both so strong willed and determined not to back down. When they went back and forth, exchanging barbs, it created this yummy sexual tension and I just ate it all up. I will admit there were moments where these two annoyed the crap out of me. However, I still wanted them together so very badly. I just loved their chemistry.

That being said, as much as I loved the relationship between Presley and Nathaniel, it was the relationship between Presley and her father that struck a stronger cord with me. I'm gonna be honest, it hit a little closer to home than I would have liked. I was not prepared for the onslaught of emotions that it brought out of me. It felt super personal. That's just the brilliance of Claire Contreras' writing.

Consequences of Falling is a really good read in one sitting book kind of book. It will make you feel every emotion possible. I highly recommend picking it up.

In The Consequence of Falling you meet Presley who comes across as a self centered teenager that throws tantrums to get her way. When she met Nathaniel, she met her match. As time goes on in their lives, they come to realize just how much they have in common. This is definitely a beautiful, heartfelt and heartbreaking story with a happily ever after.

Overall this book was good, but I didn’t really like Presley. I feel like she never grew throughout the story. She did just get things handed to her. Even with the brewery, I didn’t feel like she actually did any hard work. I also didn’t totally feel the relationship building.

Loved the story-needs editing

I absolutely loved the story, but noticed several times that entire sentences were repeated which was disappointing. That said I read it in just a few hours and am glad I did.

I typically love Claire Contreras but this just didn't work for me. I didn't care of either of the main characters, Presley was a brat who couldn't seem to get it together and Nathaniel was a dick to her the majority of the time. Overall this was a letdown.

Presley Rose has known Nathaniel Bradley for many years, from the first time he picked her up during her parents divorce, to now, when he becomes part of her father's company. Nathaniel has been there for it all, but that didn't mean she liked it.
We first meet Presley and Nathaniel, both at a young age, both in two completely different worlds. Over the years they meet and fight and leave again. But now that Nathaniel is part of her father's company Presley can't seem to hide from him or her feelings for him.
This was a sweet tale of finding oneself in the midst of grief, opening up to new possibilities and letting that person you're so scared to trust, in. Because sometimes you have to wait a while for the person you love to catch up.
