"Finifugal
\fi-ni-‘fU-gal\ (adjective) hating endings; of someone who tries to avoid or prolong the final moments of a story, relationship, or some other journey

Finifugal originates from the Latin word fuga, for flight.
It shows us that endings are fleeting. We may hate them. We may fear them. We may avoid them. But we don’t need to. Like sunsets, endings can be beautiful. The next morning, the sun always rises again, because there is no such thing as an ending, just a new beginning."

I'd honestly never felt this with a book before - not wanting it to end. Surprisingly, I reach the epilogue of this not-so-short book, and I didn't want it to end.
I picked this book up on a whim and I'm so fuckin glad I did.

"Falling in love is like diving blindly into a book, not knowing it's destined to be my favorite."

This book pulled at my heartstrings.
The characters totally crawled into my heart and decided to crash there for the near future.
The writing was so poetic and beautiful. I truly felt for the characters.
I loved absolutely everything about this story.
It was just right. Lagom.

It’s not great but it’s not bad. It was an ordinary book, nothing really stood out.

This could have been a short story tbh, it dragged on way too long

I enjoyed this but it was way too long and there were some massive lack of researching simple things. Some of it less than 5 minutes of research could have prevented inaccuracies like a doctor telling Emery that Tylenol is an NSAID. I loved the banter between Nash and Emery but it the plot dragged on too long even with the time jumps.

I loved this book so much, Nash and Emory are everything.
This was such a well written enemies to lover slow burn, and it was everything I needed.
The plot had me hooked from the very beginning I was literally screaming at the book at one point because I was rooting for them so much

This was one of my rare 5 star and most highlighted books. I’ll tack on a review later when I get my words back.

So before I read a book, I read a good mixture of reviews to decide if I want to read. All of the negative reviews basically centered around the author trying to sound “smart” by using “big words” and the book was a bunch of jargon. This didn’t bother me in the slightest and I felt she was using the words because a big part of the book was centered around the FMC’s love for unpopular words. The author used the words so you’d feel more connected to the FMC.

Truly, I loved the book. There were a lot of great lessons and reminders in it, I felt the plot was well done and the characters had enough depth to understand them. Do I think the book could’ve been shorter? Yes, but it didn’t bother me.
