I struggled a little bit with this book. I found the main characters cute and I enjoyed the blossoming of their relationship. I found Brendon’s clear lack of boundaries tiring and I thought the end of the book was way too rushed. Plus maybe it’s just me, but I found the way the third act breakup played out was very strange, like I just don’t get how all of it was one persons fault. Also I thought there was going to be a lot more spice than there was based on reviews I’ve seen.

I really wanted to like this, but I almost DNFed so many times. Notes in my journal entries

this was the definition of an ok book, it was very predictable and cliche, which is not necessarily a bad thing but there just wasn’t anything that made it stood out. I didn’t really connect with the romance or the characters (and if i have to be a 100% honest elle was annoying af, but that’s just bc i’m her antithesis)
anyways it was an enjoyable, albeit forgettable, book

A very sweet, queer romcom! And a solid read overall. Just giving it 3 stars because I wasn't overly in love with any of the characters or the plot. But still a super quick, fun and easy romance read if that's what you're in the mood for!
